Lux Row Distillers opened in Bardstown, Kentucky, in 2018 and is home to Ezra Brooks and Rebel bourbon. The Ezra Brooks name dates to 1957; Rebel was formerly known as Rebel Yell.
Ezra Brooks’ core bourbon uses corn, rye and malt, a sour-mash process and charcoal filtration. Rebel’s core bourbon uses wheat rather than rye alongside corn and malt.

A sweet opening aroma gives way to a fuller, more forceful palate, with caramel and vanilla at the centre. Wheat softens the grain profile, but the higher proof brings clear warmth and definition rather than simple sweetness. The finish turns dry, leaving caramelized sugar, vanilla and gentle spice behind. Serve neat, with a few drops of water or over a large cube; it also has enough structure for an Old Fashioned or a bourbon-forward Manhattan.
Ezra Brooks 90 Proof Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey
American Whiskey
Caramel and vanilla lead, with chocolate and a measured lift of spice adding depth. The palate is smooth and mellow, carrying the same sweet spice into a warm, clean finish. Bottled at 90 proof and charcoal filtered, it is approachable neat or over ice, with enough structure for an Old Fashioned, Whiskey Sour or bourbon highball.
