Lingua Franca
Lingua Franca
Master Sommelier Larry Stone established Lingua Franca in Oregon’s Eola-Amity Hills after acquiring a vineyard site in 2012. The estate developed around Pinot Noir and Chardonnay on volcanic soils within the Willamette Valley appellation framework. Dominique Lafon advised the early project, while Thomas Savre led winemaking, roles kept distinct from ownership and vineyard management.
Lingua Franca later entered a new ownership phase, placing its founding structure and present operation in separate chapters. The winery continues to identify the Eola-Amity site and its individual blocks as the basis of the estate range. Lingua Franca’s Eola-Amity Hills estate continues to focus on Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from Oregon’s Willamette Valley.
