Mike and Nicole Dowell began their wine project in 2016 after buying an established organic farm and vineyard at Cawston in British Columbia’s Similkameen Valley. The family later added two more estate vineyards, including an Osoyoos property, bringing its holdings to more than 30 acres.
Liber remains a family-run winery, certified by PACS under the Canada Organic Regime. The estate vineyards range from riverbank sites in the Similkameen to warmer ground in Osoyoos.

Canadian Red
Whole-berry fermentation and extended maceration are used for Cabernet Franc cultivated on a gently sloping, west-facing mountainside. The wine spends sixteen months in French oak. Wild sage, berries and spice appear with raspberry jam, wet stone and cherry, while the structure is balanced and the tannins are supple. The wine comes from British Columbia's Similkameen Valley.
