AboutLes Pinots Blacks

Les Pinots Blacks began in 2017 as a four-way collaboration among winegrowers Thomas Pico, Bruno Verret and Damien Delecheneau, with restaurateur and wine buyer Fabien Espana completing the group. The collaboration brings together experience from Chablis, Saint-Bris, the Loire and restaurant wine buying.

After an experimental Bourgogne, the group turned to Irancy and the young Vallée de Coigny parcel planted by Verret in 2016. At Vallée de Coigny, Pico oversaw organic farming and conversion to biodynamic practices.

Les Pinots Blacks 2019 Irancy Vallée de Coigny

French Red
$78.99
Highly perfumed, with rose, ripe red fruit and subtle whole-cluster lift rising above well-integrated oak. The palate is silky and immediately appealing, carrying generous flavour over a fine, supportive grain of tannin without dryness. Wide, gently phenolic and poised on the finish, it is both sophisticated and ready to enjoy.
