AboutLelarge-Pugeot
The seventh and eighth generations of the Lelarge family work together in Vrigny, a Premier Cru village west of Reims. The family traces its vineyard line to 1799, while the present name dates from the marriage of Dominique Lelarge and Dominique Pugeot and their later stewardship of the estate. Meunier occupies just over half of the 8.7 hectares; Pinot Noir and Chardonnay fill out the plantings on Vrigny’s sandy, clay-limestone soils.
After years of reducing herbicides and insecticides, the estate received Ecocert organic certification in 2015; Demeter recognition followed two years later. In the cellar, fermentations begin with indigenous yeasts, with small additions of sulphur only when needed.
Champagne Lelarge-Pugeot NV Les Meuniers de Clémence Extra Brut
White pepper and chamomile lift juicy peach and freshly cut orange. The palate is vinous and fruit-driven, layering wild cherry, redcurrant and white peach over a firm line of green-apple acidity. Brioche and orange peel add savoury depth, while the finish stays dry, energetic and lightly floral.
Champagne Lelarge-Pugeot NV Tradition Brut Nature
Lemon curd, peach and quince rise with brioche, toast and a light touch of honey. The palate is bone dry but richly textured, with a fine mousse carrying ripe citrus and orchard fruit. Saline, chalky minerality brings definition, guiding the smooth, elegant frame into a clean and vibrant finish.
Champagne Lelarge-Pugeot NV Tradition Extra Brut
Ripe apple and apricot meet tangy orange zest, brown butter and a lightly caramelized note. The palate is creamy yet dry, with grapefruit acidity cutting through its broad, generous texture. Subtle oxidative nuttiness adds complexity, while fine bubbles and citrus tension keep the finish lifted, savoury and precise.
Champagne Lelarge-Pugeot NV Brut Rosé
Wild strawberry, cherry and raspberry open with pink florals and warm brioche. The palate is crisp and dry, its juicy red fruit lifted by brisk acidity and a fine, energetic mousse. A gentle nutty depth rounds the texture before the wine closes with tangy freshness and clear aromatic persistence.
