AboutChâteau Le Doyenné

Château Le Doyenné’s ochre house and historic cellars belong to a Bordeaux estate documented as early as 1791. Marie-Dominique and Jean Watrin bought the estate in 1994 and restored its vineyard and winery. The eight-hectare vineyard forms one continuous holding across gravel plateaux and south-facing clay-limestone slopes overlooking the Garonne.

The vineyard combines soil cultivation without chemical herbicides with natural grass cover, and parcels are harvested according to maturity. Winemaking takes place in small temperature-controlled tanks, followed by barrel ageing.

Château Le Doyenné 2019 Côtes de Bordeaux

French Red
$39.99
Spice and blackcurrant lead the nose, with a lightly earthy, savoury edge. The palate is medium-bodied and direct, centred on firm, dry structure and bright red-plum fruit. Juicy acidity lifts the wine through the finish, keeping its ripe fruit focused and giving the close a fresh, lightly herbal turn.
