Le Cecche
AboutLe Cecche
Jan De Bruyne and Paola Invrea acquired the historic Le Cecche farmstead in Diano d’Alba in 2001. They restored the property, replanted its hillside vineyards and bottled their first wines the following year. Later additions in Sorano, Borzone and Bricco San Pietro extended the work into Barolo, while a high-altitude site at Bossolasco opened a contrasting path for white wine.
Le Cecche 2019 Fiammingo Langhe
Italian Red
A structured Langhe red with cherry, dried raspberry and plum set against cedar, tobacco and earthy spice. The palate is medium- to full-bodied, with firm tannins softened by a rounded dark-fruit core. Savoury and composed after some air, it finishes with gentle spice and enough depth for braised meats, roast lamb, mushrooms or aged cheese.
Le Cecche 2021 Langhe Bianco DOC
Italian White
Flowers and white fruit lead an aromatic nose, with a clear mineral note adding freshness. The palate is full and characterful, balancing ripe fruit with bright acidity and a clean, lightly textured feel. A poised, dry finish keeps the wine lively, while the two-grape blend lends quiet depth without excess weight.
Le Cecche 2018 Barolo Borzone DOCG
Italian Red
Bright garnet in the glass, with balsamic aromas of eucalyptus, mountain pine and resin. Black pepper, nutmeg and liquorice follow, joined by tobacco and a light leather note. The palate is notably fresh and savoury, carrying dark fruit and spice through a firm, composed finish with classic restraint.
Le Cecche 2019 Nebbiolo d’Alba
Italian Red
Blueberry leads a firm, classically styled profile, with a refined edge emerging once the wine has had time to breathe. The palate is dry and distinctly tannic, showing more restraint than richness. Decant briefly to let the structure settle, then serve with braised beef, lamb, mushroom ragu or aged hard cheese, where its grip will feel most at home.
