AboutLapostolle

Lapostolle was founded in Chile in 1994 by Alexandra Marnier Lapostolle and her husband, Cyril de Bournet. The winery draws on a French family tradition in wine and spirits dating to 1827. Apalta, in the Colchagua Valley, is home to old vines in a sheltered, amphitheatre-shaped landscape. Organic and biodynamic practices form part of the estate’s long-term approach to vineyard health and biodiversity.

Lapostolle 2023 Cuvée Alexandre Carménère

Chilean Red
$52.99
Blackberry, cassis and lemony oak meet a tannic palate and black-fruit flavours. The blend contains eighty-five percent Carménère and fifteen percent Syrah, all from the Apalta vineyard. Fruit was harvested by hand. Wild yeasts carried fermentation in stainless-steel tanks and wooden vats, with four to five weeks on skins. Maturation lasted thirteen months in French oak, including twenty-nine percent new barrels.
