AboutLambert de Seyssel
Lambert de Seyssel carries forward the story of Royal Seyssel, a sparkling-wine label first launched in 1901 by the Varichon and Clerc families. After the local winery closed in 2007, Seyssel residents Gérard and Catherine Lambert joined Olivier Varichon, a founder’s great-grandson, to revive Royal Seyssel.
Royal Seyssel brings together Molette and Altesse, two local Savoie grapes. It is made by the traditional method, spending three to four years on its lees before disgorgement, with a low dosage.

Fine bubbles accompany green apple and white flowers, with a dry palate, pineapple jelly, citrus acidity and a creamy texture. Toast, salted butter and quince jelly are also present. Made from Altesse and Molette, the wine follows the traditional method and spends three years ageing sur lattes. It comes from Savoie and carries the Seyssel appellation. Alcohol is twelve percent.
