Château La Lagune
AboutChâteau La Lagune
At the southern threshold of the Haut-Médoc, Château La Lagune occupies ground associated with winegrowing since the late 1500s. Its eighteenth-century house predates the estate’s recognition as a Third Growth in 1855. The Frey family acquired the property just after 2000 and renovated its vineyards and cellars.
The vineyard is farmed organically and biodynamically. Cabernet Sauvignon leads the plantings, alongside Merlot and Petit Verdot, on deep gravel over varied subsoils.

French Red
Dense and deeply aromatic, opening with fragrant blackcurrant, blackberry and black cherry alongside plum, rose petal and sweet pipe tobacco. The palate is polished and supple, with ripe fruit, cedar and dark chocolate framed by freshness and fine tannins. A balanced, lifted finish keeps the wine poised rather than heavy.
