AboutKellerei Kaltern

Kellerei Kaltern’s cooperative history in Caldaro began in 1900, bringing together five local cellars over the following years. The present organization took shape in 2016 when Erste+Neue and the former Kellerei Kaltern merged. It now brings together roughly 530 winegrowing families and 420 hectares.

Some 1,100 vineyard parcels rise from warm slopes near Lake Kaltern to cooler sites beneath the Mendola mountains, spanning approximately 200 to 850 metres. Porphyry, limestone, glacial moraine and loam meet both Alpine freshness and Mediterranean warmth, offering varied conditions for white and red varieties.
