AboutIria Otero
Iria Otero trained as a pharmacist before redirecting her career toward wine, gaining cellar experience with Vintae in Rioja and Dominio do Bibei in Ribeira Sacra. She began developing her own projects in 2015 and later established a small base in Leiro, in Ribeiro’s Avia valley. Her work ranges across Ribeiro, Rias Baixas and other Galician regions, with old vineyards and local varieties providing the common thread. In the cellar, she works with concrete, chestnut and oak vessels.
Iria Otero 2019 A Seara Castes Tintas Ribeiro
Light and finely drawn, with sour cherry, mulberry, sage and mint set against a smoky, crushed-stone note. Bright acidity gives the cool red fruit real energy, while delicate tannins keep the palate poised and easy to drink. A brief rest in concrete preserves its freshness; serve slightly cool with charcuterie, lentils or roast chicken.
