AboutChâteau Guiraud

Château Guiraud takes its name from the family that bought this Sauternes estate in 1766. It was ranked Premier Cru in the 1855 classification. The 128-hectare property lies among woodland on gravel, sand and clay.

The estate began a biodiversity programme in 1996. Its vineyards include hedgerows, cover crops and a collection of 145 Sémillon and Sauvignon selections. The sweet wines combine Sémillon with a notably high share of Sauvignon Blanc, with freshness and floral character central to the style.
