AboutGlencadam Distillery

David Scott founded Glencadam in Brechin in 1825. After periods of closure, including a shutdown in 2000, the distillery resumed production following Angus Dundee’s purchase in 2003. A visitor centre opened for its bicentenary in 2025.

Glencadam uses unpeated Scottish malted barley and Oregon pine fermentation vessels. The pipes leading from its stills slope upwards, encouraging vapour to condense and return to the still. Maturation takes place in traditional warehouses, with bourbon, sherry, port and wine casks among those used.

Glencadam American Oak Reserve Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky

Scottish Whisky
$116.99
Sweet vanilla and buttercream open the aroma, followed by poached pear and baked apple. The palate is smooth and gently tropical, balancing orchard fruit with honey, soft citrus and a measured layer of oak spice. Almond and roast chestnut add savoury depth beneath the sweeter fruit, while the finish is clean, rounded and quietly nutty. Serve neat or add a small splash of water to draw out the pear and vanilla.

Glencadam 10 Year Old Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky

Scottish Whisky
$131.99
Fresh grass and lemon peel lead with hay, vanilla and delicate stone fruit. The palate is clean and lively, balancing citrus brightness with soft malt, gentle oak and a warming thread of spice. American oak bourbon barrels add sweetness without blurring the distillate's freshness. The finish is crisp and composed, leaving mandarin, ginger, light cereal and measured vanilla.
