AboutDomaine Gilbert Picq et ses Fils
The Picq family has farmed vineyards for generations in Chichée, southeast of Chablis. Didier and Pascal took over from their father in 1976, and the work remains clearly divided: Pascal leads the vineyards while Didier directs the cellar. Their holdings centre on village parcels and the premier cru sites Vaucoupin and Vosgros.
The wines ferment with indigenous yeasts and mature in stainless steel, without oak. Winter pruning and repeated debudding help control yields in the vineyards.
Gilbert Picq 2024 Chablis
Granny Smith apple and lime open over flinty seashell and wet-stone notes. Raised in stainless steel, the palate is taut, linear and finely balanced, with bitter lemon adding bright tension through the centre. Crisp acidity and quiet mineral depth lead to a refreshing, lightly spicy finish that lingers cleanly.
