Frutóbidos makes Vila das Rainhas, a sour-cherry liqueur from Óbidos. Marina Brás took over the business from founder Joaquim Albano in 2001. The liqueur’s name honours the queens associated with the walled town.

Selected sour cherries steep in alcohol for an extended period before sugar syrup is added, followed by filtration and bottling.
