AboutFrench Door Estate Winery
French Door Estate Winery is a family-owned vineyard and cellar founded in 2019 on the Black Sage Bench, south of Oliver in British Columbia’s Okanagan Valley. The family’s travels in Provence inspired the name and the estate’s French architectural and winemaking influences.
The vineyard is worked by hand at low yields, using compost and other organic inputs, mechanical weeding and closely monitored irrigation. Sandy, rocky soils over gravel, clay and granite drain freely, and the cellar uses French-oak barrels and three large oak vats.

The aromas include wild strawberry, cherry and rose petals. The palate has watermelon, redcurrant, bright fruit and crisp energy, with a clean, savoury finish. Grenache, Mourvèdre, Cinsault and Pinot Noir were direct-pressed and fermented separately in stainless steel at cool temperatures. The wine remained on gross lees for one month, was blended, and spent four months in tank before bottling.
French Door 2025 Fleur
Cranberry and red currant lead a light-bodied, lively profile, joined by earthy mushroom and a fine note of anise. The palate is bright and gently spicy, with fresh red fruit and soft structure making it easy to enjoy slightly chilled. A clean, savoury finish keeps the wine versatile at the table.
