Fratelli Serio & Battista Borgogno

Fratelli Serio & Battista Borgogno has made Barolo in the heart of Cannubi since 1897, with five generations rooted in the same hillside. The family story reaches back further to Cavalier Francesco Borgogno, who made wine from Cannubi vineyards and sold it in his wife’s small inn in Barolo during the nineteenth century. Serio and Battista later established the family home and cellar at the summit of Cannubi.

The estate works three hectares across three sides of the hill. Grapes are picked by hand and, when the vintage allows, each parcel ferments separately before the family decides whether to blend or bottle it on its own. Large wooden vats and Slavonian oak casks are used in the cellar.
