François Lurton belongs to a Bordeaux winegrowing family active since 1858. The son of André Lurton, he worked at Château Bonnet before starting a wine business with his brother Jacques. He later continued under his own name, working with estates and partners in France and abroad. His Les Fumées Blanches range explores Sauvignon Blanc in several forms, including a skin-contact wine.

The wine is dry, organic and carries 12.5 percent alcohol. It is made in France and bottled with a natural cork. The release is classified as Vin de France and remains a still white wine.
