AboutFox & Archer
Diane Fox and Tyson Archer founded Fox & Archer as a small, family-run winery on the Naramata Bench. Their main source of fruit is the nearby Fox family vineyard, planted to Muscat, Semillon, Pinot Noir and Malbec. The south-facing slopes contain clay, silt and granite gravel left by glacial activity.
The vineyard is farmed using organic practices, and grapes are picked by hand into baskets. In the cellar, small batches ferment with native yeasts and minimal additions; the wines are bottled without fining or filtration.
Fox & Archer 2021 Mountain Pinot Noir
Canadian Red
Cherry, red currant and liquorice lead, joined by graphite, baking spice and an earthy, gently meaty note. The palate has a savoury core, with bright red fruit framed by measured oak and a subtle whole-cluster lift. Balanced freshness keeps the texture composed, while spice and mineral detail carry the finish.
