AboutForty Creek Distillery

Forty Creek’s home in Grimsby opened in 1972 as a fruit-spirit distillery under Otto Rieder. John Hall and Bill Ashburn began developing Forty Creek Canadian whisky there in 1992. Their Barrel Select appeared in 2000, made by ageing corn, rye and barley whiskies separately before blending. Later releases have explored different woods, finishes and blends.

Forty Creek Barrel Select Canadian Whisky 375 mL

Canadian Whisky
$18.49

Honey, vanilla and ripe apricot lead into a rounded palate of toasted grain, cocoa and warming oak. Notes of black walnut and pecan add savoury depth without overwhelming the whisky’s approachable fruit. The finish is smooth and gently spiced, with lingering vanilla and roasted-nut detail. Enjoy neat, over a single cube or in a spirit-forward Old Fashioned, where its balanced sweetness and oak structure remain clearly defined.
