AboutFIOL
Lifelong friends Gian Luca Passi, Giovanni Ciani Bassetti and Pietro Ciani Bassetti founded FIOL in Treviso in 2011. Its name comes from the Venetian word for “son” or “boy,” used locally as a term of affection.
The team selects Glera from long-standing growers across the Prosecco DOC area and checks the wine at each stage of production. Its Glera-based Prosecco is made using tank fermentation.
FIOL Prosecco DOC Extra Dry NV
Italian Sparkling
Pale straw colour accompanies creamy, persistent foam, wisteria, acacia, ripe wild apple, pear and a citrus edge. Made entirely from Glera, this Extra Dry Prosecco is lively and refreshing, balancing savoury and sweet notes. Mediterranean spice and lemon appear in the finish. The wine contains 10.5 percent alcohol and is suitable for vegan and vegetarian diets.
