AboutFerraton Père & Fils

Ferraton Père & Fils began in Tain-l’Hermitage in 1946, founded by Jean Orëns Ferraton beneath the hill of Hermitage. His son Michel later joined him, helping develop the domaine’s vineyard and cellar work.

The estate’s approach brings together organic and biodynamic farming with wines drawn from individual vineyard parcels. These parcel selections sit within a wider range from the northern Rhône’s major appellations.

Ferraton Père & Fils 2022 La Tournée Blanc

French White
$24.99
Bright pale yellow colour with green highlights introduces citrus and grapefruit. The palate is broad and fruity, with ripe fruit, fresh acidity and persistent flavour. Vermentino and Viognier grow on clay-limestone slopes in Languedoc. The grapes are harvested at night and directly pressed without maceration. The separate wines rest on fine lees; after blending, the wine ages in tank on fine lees.

Ferraton Père & Fils 2016 Lieu-Dit Montmain Côte-Rôtie

French Red
$127.99
Crème de cassis, black raspberry and ripe cherry meet crushed flowers, violet and a stony mineral note. The palate is deep and rounded, with dark fruit, fine structure and supple tannins held by fresh acidity. Savoury olive and pepper add complexity before a long, elegant and mineral-driven finish.
