Felton Road
Felton Road
AboutFelton Road
Felton Road is a Bannockburn estate in Central Otago whose first commercial vintage was produced in 1997. Nigel Greening acquired the winery in 2000 and developed a vineyard-focused programme across four estate sites in the Bannockburn subregion. Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Riesling form the principal range, with individual vineyard and block bottlings kept separate where appropriate.
Gravity movement and estate-only fruit are established practices, with fermentation and ageing tailored by wine.
Felton Road 2014 Bannockburn Pinot Noir
New Zealand Red
Bright cherry and red-berry fruit mingle with cinnamon, subtle herbs and a touch of pepper. The palate is supple and silky, with fine tannins giving the fruit gentle grip. Fresh acidity keeps the flavours lively, while mineral and spice notes linger on the finish. This is a layered, graceful expression of Bannockburn Pinot Noir.
