AboutVini Alois

Vini Alois grew from Michele Alois’s return to winemaking at Pontelatone, in the Caiatini foothills of Campania. In 1992 he planted nine native grape varieties for small-scale winemaking, adding wine to a family history previously known for silk. The house centres its work on Campanian grapes including Casavecchia, Pallagrello Bianco and Nero, Aglianico and Falanghina.

Alois 2020 Ponte Pellegrino Falanghina

Italian White
$31.99

Pear and grapefruit open a fresh, floral white, followed by ripe peach, apricot and a light citrus note. Dry and smooth on the palate, it has enough rounded, almost waxy texture to feel generous, while bright acidity keeps the fruit focused. The finish is persistent and clean. Serve with grilled fish, shellfish or fresh cheese.
