AboutÉric Texier
Éric Texier came to wine without a family background in vineyards, gradually building a twelve-hectare estate across Brézème in the Drôme and the Ouvèze valley in the Ardèche. His son Martin now tends most of the family vineyards and opened a working cellar among them in 2020, alongside the older underground ageing cellar at Charnay.
The vineyards have been farmed organically from the beginning, with cover crops, hand work and little or no ploughing. Fermentations use wild yeasts and often whole bunches, followed by ageing in concrete or large wooden casks. The wines receive little sulphur and are bottled without fining or filtration.

French Red
Cassis, blueberry and damson plum lead, with violet, olive and smoky mineral notes adding lift. The palate is smooth and energetic, balancing black and blue fruit with black pepper, allspice and soft, supple tannins. Rosemary, a quiet savoury edge and fine acidity carry the wine through a fresh, textural finish.
