AboutDunn Vineyards
Randy and Lori Dunn bought 14 acres on Howell Mountain in 1978, including five planted to Cabernet Sauvignon, and made their first wine from the 1979 harvest. Three generations of the family now work in the vineyards, cellar and farming programme.
The estate owns and farms 42 acres at roughly 1,800 to 2,100 feet on Howell Mountain, above the fog line, with eastern exposures and shallow volcanic soils. Its Howell Mountain and Napa Valley wines are both entirely Cabernet Sauvignon, aged for 32 months. Organic practices have guided pest and disease management since 2016, with regenerative farming and the health of the surrounding forest now part of the vineyard work.

American Red
Kirsch and blackcurrant open with sandalwood, sweet tobacco and exotic spice. The palate is full-bodied and layered, balancing rich, pure fruit with an elegant texture and firm, woven tannins. Cedar, dried herbs, graphite and lavender add complexity, while red cherry, plum and mint carry the structured frame into a long, poised finish.
