AboutDomaine Thierry Drouin
Thierry Drouin founded his domaine in Vergisson in 1981 and made forty-one vintages before stepping back. His son Charles-Édouard continues the estate in partnership with the Collovray and Terrier family.
Its vineyards span the limestone slopes around Vergisson and several Mâconnais appellations, producing both white and red wines. Soils are worked without synthetic herbicides, and the choice of stainless steel or barrels is made to suit each wine.
Domaine Thierry Drouin 2023 Mâcon-Villages Plaisance
Bright yellow with green highlights, the wine brings together flint, white peach, green apple, acacia and fresh white fruit. A round, generous texture meets lively acidity, citrus and wet stone through a lingering mineral finish. The Chardonnay comes from northern and western Mâconnais plots with limestone-rich soils. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel, preserving the unwooded style.
