AboutDomaine Poulleau Michel
Michel and Jacqueline Poulleau established their Volnay estate in 1960. Their son Thierry joined in 1983, later working alongside his wife Florence, and the couple took charge in 1996. The domaine farms about eight hectares in the Côte de Beaune, producing mainly red wines. Soil cultivation is a focus in the vineyards; grapes are harvested by hand and sorted, and oak is used sparingly in the cellar.

Bright cherry, dried flowers and potpourri form an open, fragrant and high-toned aromatic profile. Pinot Noir provides the varietal basis, while the documented Volnay style is smooth and delicate. Red fruit and floral detail are the clearest elements, giving this mature Burgundy a fragrant, delicate expression with bright cherry and dried petals at its centre.
