AboutDomaine Jacques Prieur

Domaine Jacques Prieur traces its history to the 1868 marriage of Claude Duvergey and Marie Taboureau, both born into winegrowing families. Claude began acquiring vineyards at Les Herbeux in Meursault in 1879 and continued buying land through the phylloxera years. Jacques Prieur inherited the property in 1920 and gave the domaine his name in 1956.

The Labruyère family now leads the estate with the support of Prieur family heirs; Edouard Labruyère has been at its head since 2008, and Nadine Gublin has been its winemaker since 1990. Its twenty-one hectares of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay include nine grands crus and fourteen premiers crus in Burgundy. The vineyards gained organic certification in 2023.

Jacques Prieur 1996 Musigny Grand Cru

French Red
$2,499.99

Warm, inviting and complex on the nose, with ripe raspberry, strawberry and blackberry layered over violet, spice and earthy mineral tones. The palate is rich and concentrated yet finely balanced, with sweet fruit, fresh acidity and polished tannins. Silky texture and graceful tension carry subtle oak and savoury detail into an elegant, persistent finish.
