AboutDomaine du Nozay
Domaine du Nozay took shape in 1970, when Philippe and Marie-Hélène de Benoist acquired the property at Sainte-Gemme-en-Sancerrois. They planted their first hectare of Sauvignon Blanc in 1971 and brought in the first harvest in 1974. Their son Cyril now leads a sixteen-hectare domaine devoted to Sauvignon Blanc in Sancerre.
Organic certification dates to 2011, with biodynamic certification following in 2017. Soils are worked mechanically, much of the seasonal vineyard work is done by hand, and the wines are aged on their lees with as little handling as the vintage permits.

Lime zest, lemon and white flowers lead, with ripe stone fruit and a flinty mineral note adding depth. The palate is dry, finely textured and energetic, carrying vivid citrus through bright acidity to a clean, saline finish. Serve well chilled with oysters, goat cheese, grilled fish or asparagus.
