AboutDomaine de Naisse

Domaine de Naisse occupies a farm at Laizé whose roots reach the late eighteenth century; the name recalls woodland cleared to establish the property. Guy Béranger bought the farm in 1980, planted vines and began selling the wines directly in 1997. Christophe Brenot joined in 1999 and began making the wines independently in 2015, with Elodie joining in 2017.

The vines grow on a limestone plateau around 280 metres above sea level. Grass grows between the rows, and most of the white wines are aged in stainless steel.

Domaine de Naisse 2022 Mâcon-Villages Travers

French White
$41.99
Chardonnay comes from twenty-year-old vines in the Naisse locality around the estate. The parcel lies on a northwest-facing slope, and the vines were planted on Riparia rootstock. The wine arose from a collaboration with a Paris restaurateur and wine merchant, with artwork by illustrator Matthias Bourdelier. Vineyard work follows sustainable, lutte-raisonnée practices in the Mâconnais.
