AboutDomaine de l'Idylle

The Tiollier family has cultivated vines in the Combe de Savoie since 1840, carrying Domaine de l’Idylle through six generations at Cruet. The family committed the property fully to wine in 1975, and Sylvain Tiollier joined his parents in 2011. Its twenty hectares face southeast on the Alpine foothills, with clay-limestone scree and plantings of local Savoie grapes.

A gravity-fed cellar built in 2008 allows the team to move fruit and wine gently. The domaine began converting to organic farming in 2020 and now farms its vineyards organically.

Domaine de l’Idylle 2017 Vieille Vigne d’Idylle Cruet Jacquère

French White
$33.99

Intense crisp lemon fruit appears with tight acidity and a creamier touch of baked apple. The wine is made entirely from Jacquère grown on clay-limestone soils formed by Alpine scree. Long, low-temperature fermentation is followed by full malolactic fermentation and ageing on fine lees, with about twenty percent in oak. The palate is full and fleshy, while good acidity keeps it fresh, and the finish recalls toasted almond.
