AboutDomaine de l’Agramante
Domaine de l’Agramante began in 2018 when Carlo La Rocca exchanged fifteen years in chemical engineering for vines in the Gard. Sicilian by birth, he named the domaine for Agramante, a figure from medieval epic and the island’s puppet tradition that recalls his childhood. His 5.5 hectares lie on sandy-silty terraces above Carmes at Sabran.
The vineyards are certified organic, weeded mechanically and harvested by hand. La Rocca destems and lightly crushes the fruit, fills tanks by gravity and monitors skin contact by tasting. The wines are generally left unfiltered, with low sulphur additions.

French Red
Red cherry, wild strawberry and plum meet dried herbs, liquorice, black pepper and violets. The medium-bodied palate is bright and vibrant, with red and black fruit, fresh acidity, fine tannins and a lightly rustic character. The blend combines Grenache, Cinsault, Syrah and Counoise from sandy and silty terraces near Sabran. Grapes are hand harvested, fully destemmed, fermented and matured in tank.
