Domaine de la Touraize
Domaine de la Touraize
Domaine de la Touraize is an Arbois estate led by André-Jean and Héléana Morin, the eighth generation of the family to grow wine. The family records its winegrowing roots from 1704 and now farms ten hectares within the Arbois appellation. Its vineyards include historic lieux-dits on varied marl and gravel soils, allowing parcels to be kept separate in several cuvées.
The domaine grows the five principal Jura grapes: Chardonnay, Savagnin, Ploussard, Trousseau and Pinot Noir. The estate farms organically and describes biodynamic practice, keeping those two aspects of vineyard work distinct. Based in Arbois, Domaine de la Touraize continues its family work through its own Jura vineyards and cellar.

Fresh leather and delicate flowers lead a lifted, quietly oxidative bouquet. Candied almond and warm spice add depth, while a clear pink-salt note keeps the profile vivid and savoury. The palate is airy and elegant rather than heavy, balancing nutty richness with fine acidity and persistent mineral tension. Distinctive and composed, it closes with dried fruit, sea salt and a long almond finish.
