AboutDomaine de la Solitude
Domaine de la Solitude lies in a sheltered valley at the western edge of Châteauneuf-du-Pape’s La Crau plateau, where the family has grown vines since the seventeenth century. Florent Lançon has led the property since 2008. An ancestor, Paul Martin, sold bottled wine under the Vin de la Solitude name.
The estate grows all thirteen traditional Châteauneuf grape varieties across mixed-planted parcels with rolled stones and sandy soils. It gained organic certification in 2020 and biodynamic certification in 2023. Florent’s “edible vineyard” project combines vines with trees and other useful plants, with the aim of restoring biodiversity.

Black cherry and liquorice lead, joined by raspberry, sandalwood, tea and a hint of cinnamon. The full-bodied palate is ripe and concentrated without excess weight, its supple, silky tannins bringing shape to the generous fruit. Floral notes, fine mineral salinity and gentle spice extend an elegant, harmonious finish.
