Derrumbes Mezcal

Honey, melon and soft floral aromas lead, with a lightly savoury note adding depth. The palate is rounded and gently smoky, showing honeydew, ripe cantaloupe and milk chocolate over mineral, earthy tones. Sage, menthol and pepper bring freshness and definition, while the fruit keeps the texture supple. Made from wild Penca Ancha, or Cupreata, agave in Coyuca de Catalán, it balances sweet, herbal and savoury elements with unusual clarity. The finish is dry and persistent, carrying pepper, cool herbs and a faint rocky bitterness. Serve neat in a copita.
