Brothers Diego and Alberto Cusumano took charge of their family wine business around 2000, building on the vineyard experience of their father, Francesco. Their winery in Partinico, west of Palermo, combines a restored historic building with a modern cellar. The family’s Sicilian estates range from high, wooded Ficuzza to the pale soils of Butera and the hills around Monreale. Native grapes including Nero d’Avola, Insolia and Grillo grow alongside selected international varieties.

Italian Red
Deep ruby colour carries violet hues. Fresh red and black berry aromas accompany firm tannins, plum and spice. The fruit is destemmed and receives two days of cold skin maceration. Fermentation includes frequent pumping over and pressing. Malolactic fermentation takes place in stainless-steel tanks, and the wine remains on its lees for at least five months. It contains fourteen percent alcohol and uses a glass closure.
