AboutCragganmore Distillery
John Smith, known as Big John, founded Cragganmore Distillery in Speyside in 1869. He chose a site beside the Strathspey Railway, nicknamed the Whisky Line.
Water comes from the neighbouring Craggan Burn, and production uses both 60-hour and 90-hour fermentations. The distillery still uses traditional worm-tub condensers. Its malt combines floral and herbal notes with honey, vanilla and a light smoky character.
Cragganmore 12 Year Old Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Scottish Whisky
Sweet floral aromas open with riverside herbs, honey and vanilla. The palate is firm and rounded, led by malt with sandalwood and a measured thread of sweet smoke. Rich and complex without excessive weight, it gathers gentle sweetness as it develops. The finish is long, malt-driven and lightly smoky. Serve neat, over ice or with a small splash of water to open the aromatics.
