AboutCovert Farms Family Estate

George and Winnifred Covert bought an undeveloped mesa north of Oliver in 1959, beginning the family’s life in the Okanagan Valley. Vegetables, orchards, livestock and vineyards have all been part of the farm. Gene and Shelly Covert began the winery and vineyard programme in 2005, alongside 140 acres of organic production.

The vineyards sit on elevated benchland around McIntyre Bluff, with soils ranging from sand and gravel to silty loam and clay. Since 2018, the farm has followed regenerative practices: limiting soil disturbance, planting diverse cover crops, keeping living roots in the ground and integrating livestock.

Covert Farms 2018 Sauvignon Blanc Semillon

Canadian White
$24.99
Orange blossom, citrus and fresh herbs lead, settling into dried herb and mineral notes as the wine opens. The palate is clean and crisp, with bright acidity, a subtle waxy texture and a gently rounded mid-palate from the blend. Refreshing but not slight, it finishes with lingering salinity and suits spot prawns, grilled fish, corn or herb-led salads.
