Clot de les Soleres
AboutClot de les Soleres
Clot de les Soleres takes its name from a parcel at Heretat Ferrer de la Vall in Piera, whose farmhouse appears in sixteenth-century records and whose cellar dates to around 1880. Montse and Carles began replanting in 2000, renovated the cellar in 2006 and released their first red from the renewed project in 2008.
Their vineyards around Piera are certified organic, farmed without irrigation and harvested by hand. The wines ferment spontaneously and are left unfiltered. The range includes single-variety wines, wines aged in amphora and ancestral-method sparkling wines.

Macabeu forms this natural white from Penedès. The cellar uses no added sulphites, artificial yeasts or enzymes, and the wine is neither stabilised nor filtered. Maturation lasts five months on fine lees in tank. The Macabeu vines cover seven and a half hectares on dry-farmed land between 290 and 325 metres above sea level, with an average yield of 4,500 kilograms per hectare.
