AboutClos Marie

Clos Marie began in 1994 with about ten hectares inherited from Marie, Françoise Julien’s grandmother, for whom the estate is named. Françoise Julien and Christophe Peyrus now work twenty-three hectares at Lauret, in the Cévennes foothills of the Languedoc.

They farm biodynamically, using cuttings selected from established vines and traditional bush-vine training. The red, white and rosé wines are made from the estate’s own hand-harvested grapes.

Clos Marie 2018 Manon Languedoc Blanc

French White
$58.99

Peach, apricot and ripe pear lead, with white flowers, fresh herbs and chalk adding lift. The palate is ample and softly rounded, yet held in balance by fresh acidity and a saline, lightly iodine finish. Its generous texture suits scallops, grilled fish, roast chicken, creamy vegetables or gently spiced dishes.
