Cielo e Terra joins two Veneto histories: the Cielo family’s wine business, begun by Giovanni Cielo in 1908, and the Cantine dei Colli Berici cooperative, founded in 1951. The family business joined forces with the cooperative in 1999. The fourth generation of the Cielo family now works alongside the cooperative’s Veneto winegrowers. Its wines include Baccolo, a range from Veneto and Puglia made with gently dried grapes.
Baccolo Rosso Veneto Appassimento
Italian Red
Ripe red fruit and light spice lead this deep ruby Veneto red, with partial appassimento bringing extra concentration and a rounded texture. The palate is full, rich and smooth, carrying the generous fruit through a warm, balanced finish. Serve at cool room temperature with pasta in a hearty sauce, grilled red meat, roasted vegetables or medium-aged cheese.
Cielo e Terra 2023 Baccolo Bianco Puglia
Italian White
Flowers, fresh white fruit and tropical fruit sit within an aromatic, clean profile. The texture is soft, the acidity refreshing and the overall character balanced. Chardonnay and Fiano form the blend, and the wine carries Puglia IGT classification. Its name refers to the fruit of Bacchus, and suggested pairings include grilled fish, chicken and spicy Asian dishes.
