AboutChivas Brothers
Chivas Brothers makes Ballantine’s blended Scotch in Scotland, using malt and grain whiskies from Speyside, Islay, the Highlands and Lowlands. Ballantine’s traces its name to George Ballantine, who opened an Edinburgh grocery shop in 1827 and later specialized in selecting, ageing and blending whisky. Ballantine’s Finest dates to 1910 and remains the range’s original expression.
Ballantine’s Finest Blended Scotch Whisky
Light gold in colour, it opens with honey and a hint of spice. The palate is balanced, smooth and slightly sweet, with milk chocolate, red apple and vanilla at the centre. A marriage of more than forty malt and grain whiskies gives the profile its layered foundation. The finish is fresh and well-rounded, completing a flavour profile built around honey, spice, fruit, chocolate and vanilla.
