AboutChâteau Rousselle

Château Rousselle appears in records from 1636; Vincent Lemaitre bought the property in July 1999 and rebuilt its vineyards and cellar through the early 2000s. Its roughly twenty hectares of Côtes de Bourg vines grow on brown clay over limestone, planted with Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc.

Grapes are sorted by hand and held cool before fermentation, then kept in contact with their skins for an extended period. The wines mature in concrete vats and French oak barrels.
