AboutChâteau Prieuré du Monastir del Camp
At Passa in French Catalonia, the Prieuré du Monastir del Camp is anchored by a Romanesque church built between 1090 and 1116. The Jaubert de Passa family bought the property from Louis XVI in 1786 and developed its production of Roussillon sweet wines. The wines reached Paris and were later distributed by merchants in Banyuls, Rivesaltes and Thuir.
The estate kept small portions of successive harvests in large oak casks and barrels. Those reserves were later rediscovered and authenticated, then bottled in the early twenty-first century as mature Rivesaltes.

French Dessert
Dark gold to amber in colour, with hazelnut, almond, nut husk and candied citrus among the principal descriptors. Roasted notes add a savoury accent. Oxidative ageing is central to the amber Rivesaltes style, alongside nutty and citrus-led character. The mature profile brings nuts, candied citrus and roasted tones together in a traditional French dessert wine.
