Château Le Gay
Château Le Gay
AboutChâteau Le Gay
The Robin sisters were among the earlier owners of Château Le Gay in Pomerol. Catherine Péré-Vergé and the Parent family took over the property in 2002, beginning extensive renewal from the vineyard through the cellar. Henri Parent now leads the estate.
Twelve hectares sit on the Pomerol plateau, where gravel and clay support predominantly Merlot vines alongside Cabernet Franc. Each vine is mapped and the vineyard is harvested in several passes; grapes from small sections ferment separately in barrels.

French Red
Dried mulberry, plum and fig open with cedar, violet and a touch of dark chocolate. The palate is full and concentrated, yet its power is shaped by supple tannins, fresh acidity and clear mineral focus. Black fruit, spice and liquorice carry through a long, polished and impressively balanced finish.
