AboutChâteau Godeau

Agnès and Albéric Florisoone have run Château Godeau, a Saint-Émilion Grand Cru estate, since 2012. The vineyard covers seven hectares at Saint-Laurent-des-Combes. Clay-limestone soils support a vineyard planted predominantly to Merlot, with Cabernet Franc completing the mix. Picking is manual, with stainless-steel tanks and barrels both used in the cellar.

$189.99

Roasted black cherry, ripe plum and black raspberry lead, layered with liquorice, chocolate, sweet earth and light cedar. The palate is full and fleshy, with dark fruit carried by polished, silky tannins and fresh acidity. Savoury depth keeps the richness composed through a long, elegant and persistent finish.
