Château La Liquière
Château La Liquière
AboutChâteau La Liquière
On the schist hills of Faugères, Château La Liquière began its modern chapter when Bernard Vidal bottled his own wine in 1961. Two branches of the family domaine reunited during the 1980s, bringing their vineyards back under one estate. Today Sophie and François Vidal work alongside Laurent Dumoulin. The estate has farmed organically since 2009.
Château de La Liquière 2021 Les Amandiers Blanc Faugères
French White
White flowers, bright citrus and fresh orchard fruit lead with an open, charming fragrance. The palate is delicate and clean, keeping its white-fruit core lively and gratifying rather than weighty. Early-morning hand harvesting and tank ageing preserve the vivid, pure profile, while the high, schist-grown site lends the finish a precise sense of place.
Château de la Liquiere 2021 Les Amandiers Rosé
French Rosé
Raspberry and redcurrant rise from a bright, refreshing palate, joined by a gentle caramel nuance. Cinsault, Mourvedre and Grenache from schist soils give the wine both fruit clarity and a lightly savoury frame. Direct pressing and cool fermentation preserve freshness, while short tank ageing keeps the texture clean and supple. It finishes lively and mouth-filling, with red berries, gentle caramel and a clean, refreshing close.
Chateau de la Liquiere 2014 Cistus Faugeres
French Red
Ripe fruit and liquorice meet wild violet, cistus and an earthy lift on the nose. The palate is dense and richly textured, adding thyme and blond tobacco as it opens. A subtle, appetising bitterness brings shape to the finish, extending the wine with extra complexity while its underlying elegance remains firmly in view.
La Liquiere 2021 Gaz De Schiste Rose
French Sparkling
A lively ancestral-method sparkling rosé with fresh raspberry, redcurrant and other tangy red fruits. The palate combines gentle roundness with tonic freshness, while fine, elegant bubbles keep the fruit bright and precise. Easygoing but composed through the finish, it works well as an aperitif and can also accompany fruit desserts, soft cheese or lightly spiced dishes.
La Liquiere 2019 Les Amandiers Rouge
French Red
A generous Languedoc red with redcurrant, strawberry and blackcurrant, layered with spice and garrigue. The palate is full and fruit-forward, though aromatic freshness and silky tannins keep it balanced. Smooth through the finish, it is an easy match for grilled meat, ratatouille, stuffed vegetables, herbed sausages or other robust Mediterranean dishes.
La Liquiere 2019 Nos Racines Faugeres
French Red
A concentrated old-vine Carignan with blackberry and blackcurrant at the centre. The palate combines depth with freshness, allowing the dark fruit to feel vivid while soft tannins keep the structure approachable. Striking but not heavy through the finish, it is a natural match for grilled lamb, sausages, roast peppers or other robust Mediterranean dishes.
