AboutChâteau de Beaucastel

Château de Beaucastel traces its history to 1549, when Pierre de Beaucastel acquired land at Coudoulet. Pierre Tramier bought the estate in 1909 and later entrusted it to his son-in-law Pierre Perrin; the fifth Perrin generation now continues the family’s work.

The Châteauneuf-du-Pape vineyard is covered with rounded stones and shaped by the warm southern Rhône climate and the mistral. All thirteen historic Châteauneuf-du-Pape varieties are grown here, with organic farming dating to the 1950s and biodynamic practices to 1974. Grapes are harvested by hand and the varieties fermented separately before blending.

Château de Beaucastel Châteauneuf-du-Pape 2020 is a classic, Mourvèdre-led Southern Rhône red that shows the estate’s trademark depth and savoury complexity.
